For women 40-something
You're not lost, you just haven't met her yet.
Your identity already changed. Your life hasn't. I can tell you where the gap is.
Understand what's actually going on, and what to do about it, for the woman you're becoming
This isn't a midlife crisis. It's an awakening.
The part nobody names
Sound familiar?
- The marriage ended, or it didn't, and you're not sure which one is harder.
- The kids left and the house got loud in a completely different way.
- Your body changed and nobody warned you what that would do to your head.
- The career you built stopped fitting somewhere around year twelve.
- You did everything right and you still feel like a stranger in your own life.
- You keep asking other people about things you already know the answer to.
None of that is a crisis, it's information.
What you're actually carrying
You are not broken.
You are layered.
Every one of us is carrying identities, beliefs and rules we picked up before we ever examined them. Some of them are ours. A lot of them aren't. That's not a flaw, that's being human.
The work isn't finding a truer you hiding under there. There isn't one.
The work is seeing what you're still running, so you get the choice: keep it, or put it down.
The older you get, the more of it you're carrying, and the more of your life you've built on top of it.
What's actually happening
Listen to how you talk about yourself. I'm still tired. I'm still stuck. I'm still in the same spot.
Still. That's the common thread, and that's what you're living in.
There's a name for this
I call it identity lag. Your identity changed first, and your everyday life hasn't caught up.
I see this every day, and I see it get explained backwards constantly. Most people talk about it like your life raced ahead and you're the one running behind, trying to catch up to a new job or a new title.
That's not what's happening to you. You moved first. Everything around you is what's behind.
-
Old life, old identity
Built for who you had to be at the time, and it made sense then.
-
Life strips you back
Heartbreak, loss, burnout, or simply outgrowing the woman who built the life you're living.
-
Your identity changes first
You already aren't her anymore, you just haven't said it out loud.
-
Identity lag
This is the messy middle. Your old identity was doing the sorting, deciding what mattered and what didn't. Without it nothing sorts, which is why advice bounces off and you can't tell what you want. This isn't the waiting room. This is where the next one gets built.
-
You recognize what's true now
Not what was true at 28, but what's true TODAY. This is the pre-work I am so passionate about.
-
A life that finally matches you
Same woman, different direction, built ON PURPOSE this time.
You didn't build the wrong life. You built the life you built, because that was the direction you went in. Then life happened, and that life stopped being the direction.
Not better, not worse, just different.

What's actually different
What changes
You walk away with words for something you've been living without words for. Everything else comes after that.
You can finally tell what's yours and what you absorbed.
You stop saying yes at a level you set years ago.
You stop overriding yourself, and you find where things were already easier than you were making them.
You know how you actually decide, instead of copying how someone else does.
Evolution used to happen to you. Now you're in it ON PURPOSE.
The woman behind the work
My own story
I'm Jaimie.
I read patterns for a living. I've been doing it my entire life, long before I had a word for it.
I'm a woman in my 40s, a single mom, a certified life coach, and a certified addictions and community service worker.
I've rebuilt my life more than once. I've lost things I thought were permanent, outgrown versions of myself I thought I'd be forever, and learned the hard way that knowing something needs to change and knowing what's yours to change are two very different things.
I help women see what they can't see about themselves. The patterns, identities, expectations and old rules still shaping a life they've already outgrown.
I know the messy middle because I'm in it too. That's why I recognize it so fast.
What I do is put words to what's happening to you. That's the whole job, and it's the thing you can't do for yourself from inside it.
I don't fix you. I don't carry you. I don't make your decisions. You need to be willing to make the choices, take the action, and do the work required to build your own evidence that you can trust yourself.
You don't need to become someone new. What's important to understand is the woman standing here now, and building your next chapter from her.

Your core identity, mapped
The thing you've felt your whole life and never been able to explain, written down and handed to you. Built from your birth chart and Human Design, so you're reading something that didn't come from the life that stopped fitting. Roughly 30 pages, shaped by me before it reaches you, so it sounds like a person wrote it and not a generator.

What women say about the Soul Map
You reflected back the exact patterns, strengths, and blind spots I've lived my whole life, but never had articulated in a way that actually made sense and gave me a strategy I could use.
The depth of her Human Design and Astrology analysis gave me a clear, actionable understanding of my strengths, purpose, and how to align them in my business.
It gave language to things I've felt my whole life but didn't know how to articulate. I walked away feeling aligned, validated, and crystal clear on how I show up at my best.
It gave me so much validation to protect my energy, set real boundaries, and trust my own timing. Thank you for such an eye opening reading.
The part nobody warns you about
Rushing this is what actually costs you.
The discomfort isn't a sign something has gone wrong. It's what rebuilding feels like from the inside.
So most women do the reasonable thing. They reach for the nearest available identity to make the discomfort stop. A program, a plan, a version of themselves somebody else was selling.
It works, right up until the first time it gets tested.
That's not a character flaw and it isn't a failure of discipline. It's what happens when you try to end the middle instead of going through it.

Notes from inside the identity lag.
I can name what's happening to you in one sentence. You've been trying to for two years. Twice a month, I write about the woman you're becoming and the life that hasn't caught up to her yet.
Most of what you'll read is something named before you'd have named it yourself. Why the same thing keeps happening. What's underneath the thing you think is the problem. What it costs to keep not looking at it.
